Shower me with your love

Well, since the last time I wrote, my splint has come off, and a hard cast has gone on.

So along with my splint, the sutures came out. So instead of frankenleg:

The biggest news is that I bought some stuff to be able to take a shower, because I was losing my mind. It had been exactly 4 weeks of washcloths and spray wet/dry shampoo I got from the hospital. 

I got a special plastic vinyl boot for my leg, a chair, a brush, a hand held shower head, and a little moveable holder for it. I also got a bathrobe for the first time in my life, because showering is a workout that needs a break before getting dressed. It's all worth it to feel clean and good. Here's a distorted pic of the set up:

That's the boot on the chair. The stuff around the hole is really tight rubber.

As for food, it's been the usual, oatmeal, smoothies, tuna, sardines, salads, et cetera. Also delicious meals that I've been lax taking pictures of. I only have 2. 

The first is eggplant parmigiana that is a throwback to my awful food pic days:

It was so good.

Next, better picture, is roast pork, potatoes, carrots and peas. This was something else.
